Active Adult Communities

What are they anyway?

It’s really simply to explain Active Adult Communities. Just look up the three words that make up the title to this article . . .

The “Active” in Active Adult Communities refers to people who like staying busy and involved. People that live in today’s Active Adult Communities like to be on the go, doing things and going places. They realize that perhaps for the first time in their lives, they now have the opportunity to do things that they couldn’t when they were occupied with raising kids and working hard in a job. Maybe it’s time to finally buy that boat or learn how to line dance, or devote time to a physical fitness program. Whatever your desire, it’s now time to do all those things you put off. Active Adult Communities let you fulfill those long deferred dreams.

They were both born and raised in Key West, and lived there until they discovered the benefits of living here in Central Florida. As Key West became more built up and attracted tourists, it also became more crowded and very expensive. After spending time on vacations in Central Florida, Nancy and Al found that real estate prices were very reasonable and that it was much less crowded than Key West.

America's Largest Exotic Animal, Training & Educational Compound

Don’t be surprised if you hear the roar of a lion or the screech of a chimpanzee while driving along Highway 452 in Umatilla. That’s where we found a large collection of exotic animals living within 85 acres of secured compound.

Amazing Exotics is not a theme park or a zoo. It is North America’s largest working com-pound with over 200 exotic animals. Many of them have appeared on TV shows with celebrities like Jay Leno and Jack Hanna.
