Pringle Reveals 3 New Models

Every New Year brings many new things, and at Pringle Development we’re no different. We are putting the finishing touches on 3 brand new models for 2009.

  • The Biltmore, at 2,452 SqFt, was designed with Florida outdoor living in the forefront, with nearly every room opening onto the large courtyard.
  • The Caledonia is highly customizable 2,338 SqFt of space and the base plan even includes a workshop.
  • The Ashworth is a highly efficient 1,235 SqFt home with 3 options that expand the home in different ways depending on your taste.

Pringle Development is officially launching these models on February 1st, but call soon as we have special pre-release pricing.

The Holiday Season in Lake County

Many of the towns in Lake County had their “light up” ceremonies, involving hundreds of Christmas lights decorating their main streets, making Central Florida just a little brighter than usual.

“Christmas in Eustis” included a craft fair featuring homemade crafts and art pieces by local artists. A Christmas Lights Extravaganza was presented at Tale Chasers Grille in Tavares, located on the shores of Lake Eustis. Captain Doolittle and Sea Haven provided an opportunity for visitors to see over 5 million lights from the water. Venetian Gardens in Leesburg presented their annual display of more than 500,000 mini-lights and holiday decorations. Mount Dora’s Donnelly Park was also awash in color…even the Marina was decorated to the delight of children and adults.

Legacy Model Club

Legacy of Leesburg residents who enjoy operating model planes, boats, cars, etc. will now have an opportunity to practice their skills as a member of a newly-formed community club.

Bob Palfrey, who enjoys flying model planes, is forming the Legacy Model Club, and already 14 residents have joined so far. On the third Friday of every month, the members are planning to meet for three hours to discuss the use of radio control and control line models, as well as construct models that can be used for future model runs. Many of the members are what Bob called “retreads”, which refers to those members who have had some past experience in model building, operating the models and, when necessary, making repairs when a model boat or plane goes astray.

Mount Dora Museum of Speed

A time machine for traveling into the past hasn’t been invented…yet, however, there is a place in Mount Dora that will help bring back memories of the past.

The Mount Dora Museum of Speed provides visitors with an opportunity to see some of America’s finest “muscle cars” from the past, as well as a 37-year collection of vintage road signs. Other memorabilia include autographed guitars from famous rock and country stars, vintage jukeboxes, antique oil cans, surfboards, pedal cars, tons of signed artwork, and a great dedication to our servicemen with displays of leather flight jackets, WW I and II uniforms and WW I airplane props…quite an array to see. About one dozen vintage cars are on permanent display, with anywhere from 12 – 15 cars also for sale to collectors. For some, this is a worthwhile investment, since classic cars generally increase in value by 10 to 40% within a few years. Over the years, several celebrities have visited the museum purchasing some of the available cars for sale. The museum Gift Shoppe offers a large variety of nostalgic souvenirs.

Froggers Grill and Bar

You won’t see frog legs on the menu at Froggers Grill and Bar located in Mount Dora, but you will find a whole bunch of other selections to satisfy your “hungries”!

The Grill’s appetizers are a little different…like Pierogies, fried pickles and bottle caps (fried jalapeno peppers)… excellent for those looking for something a little different. They also menu homemade soups, (Yum!), chili, and a variety of salads, burgers, ribs, wings, sandwiches and subs/wraps. Jamaican Jerk chicken sandwich, Cuban sub, NY cheese steak, or a Greek-style Gyro offers a nice variety of sandwiches. To complete the meal, the fried cheesecake is simply delicious!
