If you pass Yalaha Country Bakery on a Saturday morning, you will hear live music emanating from the patio behind the bakery. The aroma of freshly baked bread and pastries will make you want to stop to see what’s happening at this well known German bakery.
For the next few months, Yalaha will have a different musical group entertaining visitors while enjoying their coffee and pastries under the beautiful Florida skies. The entertainment begins at 10 AM and continues for two hours. Many visitors complete their visit by taking home a loaf or two of the wonderful breads that are baked fresh daily.
The names of the various groups may sound unusual, such as Sweet Tea, Barnstorm and the Lost Lamb, Rodeo Rhythm Kings, or Jigsaw Jug Band. They represent many styles of music from bluegrass, country folk singing, and mountain music to English country. Along with the usual musical instruments that you find in most bands, some of the groups include dulcimers, claw-hammer banjos, or wash tub bass.
All of the weekly entertainment groups are provided by Edelweiss Music. Check out their website at www.edelweissmusic.info for more information about the groups and show schedules.
Yalaha Country Bakery is located on CR 48, just east of US 27 and is conveniently located close to The Heritage and Legacy of Leesburg. While you’re in the neighborhood, be sure and stop by our sales office and say “Hello”.
