Gator's Dockside Restaurant

Back to Articles

Most people know that the state of Florida has its “gators”, both the reptile and the football team. We also have a family neighborhood eatery that bears the name “Gator’s”. In this case, it is Gator’s Dockside, a new restaurant that has established itself on Route 441 in Eustis. There are several of these restaurants, located mostly in Central Florida, that are part of a franchise.

Gator’s is open daily from 11 AM until midnight serving lunch and dinner. There are large TVs throughout the restaurant and bar area. Beer, wine and mixed drinks are available, as well as take-out. They have an extensive menu offering soups, sandwiches, burgers, crab cakes, catch of the day and ribs. All you can eat wings are offered on Mondays for $8.95, which is a very popular item and their home-made potato chips are a nice addition to your entrée.

According to Mr. Jay Venturino, the general Manager, this Gator’s Dockside restaurant offers special features to accommodate various age groups. There is a special kids menu available to encourage families to stop in. On Tuesday evenings, kids eat free with each paying adult. A clown is on hand for performances and face-painting.

The management also sponsors local softball, baseball and football teams, and there is a “Wall of Fame” where trophies and team pictures are displayed.

Gator’s is not far from the main offices of Pringle Development, as well as Lakes of Mt. Dora, The Heritage and Legacy of Leesburg, all Pringle communities. It is a convenient restaurant to visit when you are in this area of Central Florida.
