The Lakes of Mount Dora was designed from the start as the ultimate destination for baby boomers. From the 275 acre waterway system, to the luxuriously appointed homes, this community is set to impress. The next chapter in this spectacular community is coming to a close with the Grand Opening of the Island Clubhouse scheduled for the spring of 2008.
 The Island Clubhouse is an 18,000 SqFt complex sitting on an island to itself. Nearly 70% of the community is connected to the waterway system with residents able to canoe or kayak their way to the planned dock on the island. A land bridge connects the facility to the mainland for vehicle traffic.
Within the Island Clubhouse are rooms for billiards, cards, crafts, fitness, computers, and much more. There is a very large great hall complete with a full kitchen, dance floor, stage, and partition walls to host smaller events.
Step on to the lanai and gaze at the waterfront views…go a little further and walk into the 100,000 gallon resort style pool featuring a beach entry and lap lanes…or slip into the spa for a soothing and relaxing experience.
There is a walking trail that encircles the island with LifeTrail stations. A LifeTrail is a low impact exercise station. Following the clubhouse on the island will be Bocce and Tennis Courts.
