Spending more than six weeks up north during the winter months is pretty tough for a full time Florida resident. It means wearing heavy coats, boots and gloves to brave the cold freezing temperatures instead of enjoying the pleasant warmth of Central Florida.
For us, it became necessary to do just that when close family relatives needed our help. From the beginning of the holiday season until well into February, we missed some of the many outdoor activities that take place down south. In January, there are outdoor festivals, car shows, flea markets, sporting events, outdoor eating places, even gardening activities that can be enjoyed in the warm pleasant temperatures that make Florida living so attractive. .
We did, however receive a different type of warmth that the sun will never be able to provide. Our daughter-in-law gave birth to twin boys in the middle of January, so our extended stay was to help her before and after the big day. It has been a while since we fed or held newborns, but our old skills came back very quickly. We were glad to brave the cold for this special occasion, and have returned to Florida to pick up the enjoyment of living in a warmer winter climate, knowing that we helped out when it was needed.
Why not visit Central Florida and see what Pringle Development has to offer? We have many residents who travel north often throughout the year to visit family members, and some live in both a Pringle community and up north, so that they establish and maintain friends in both areas. When we travel north, we stop in to see many of the friends we have known for many years, and they always ask for updates about life in Central Florida.
