When it comes to socializing, the Women’s Club at Royal Harbor is just as active as any other community activity. The Women’s Club was formed by Pam Miles in 2003. As the club grew, a variety of programs of interest to the women of the community were included in the monthly meeting.
A special project that the Women’s Club has undertaken is the collection of donated items which are then shipped to relatives of Royal Harbor residents that are serving in the Middle East. They are boxed by the women and taken to the Post Office to be sent overseas. A list of the needed items is provided both on the internet and posted at the Recreation Center. Monetary donations from residents are used to pay for the shipping of these items.
The coordination of this project is under the direction of Juanita Gonzalez. Juanita emphasized that this project is not just for Women’s Club members, but for all of the residents in the community. She has been impressed by the willingness of her fellow residents who are so generous in making this project a huge success.
This club is just one of the many activities at Pringle communities that provide support for others, and at the same time, allow fellow residents to gather together, meet new friends, and interact with each other socially.
