MARKET OF MARION

Back to Articles

If you like to shop, wouldn’t it be great if you could go into a store that has about 1,000 booths, offering almost every item possible, from Art to fresh produce?

Every weekend (including Fridays during the winter season), the Market of Marion on Highway 27 opens its doors and the crowds arrive to shop and purchase all types of items. At strategic places throughout this large complex, a shoppers guide and map is provided to help shoppers find their way. You can purchase carpets, computers, cosmetics, crafts, gifts, hardware, tools, home improvement items, jewelry, luggage, sculptures, shoes, sporting good, and toys, with dozens of clothing outlets. And you can also purchase fresh fruits and vegetables at reasonable prices.

There is plenty of parking around the perimeter of this very large facility, and the one-way traffic pattern around the outside makes it easy to get in and out of the market. Most of the booths are located indoors, so rainy weather does not affect the many shoppers that arrive each weekend.

On occasion, special displays are presented in the large tent located near the entrance. On a recent weekend, there were several dealers that presented a large variety of gourds, which are not edible and are used for decoration. Many booths had gourds which were uniquely decorated and available for sale.

Before buying anything, many Central Florida residents check out the Market of Marion before settling on a purchase. They benefit by shopping for the best prices and get valuable exercise at the same time.
