Those Who’ve Come Before You

“Surfing the web” proved to be a worthwhile pastime for DeWayne and Linda Rublee of Royal Harbor. While searching for the best builder to construct their retirement home, they learned that Pringle Development has completed, and is constructing several successful communities in Central Florida. Their research also revealed that Pringle Development was the most financially stable builder in the area.

As a result, the Rublee’s eventually decided to build a Sanibel model home in the Royal Harbor community. Like many other residents before them, they made significant changes in the original floorplans to meet their specific needs. They expanded the overall size of the home, added a third bay to the garage, and modified the master bath.

The Rublees came to Florida from Hinsdale, Illinois, which is located just west of Chicago. DeWayne was employed by Illinois Bell for 20 years. He began as a craftsman, and eventually served as a Manager of various departments. Before retiring, he worked for ten years at AT&T in a number of Managerial positions. Linda’s employment record is very similar. She also worked for both companies, in Corporate Educational Training for 14 years at Illinois Bell, and later, in Management at AT&T.

They have two daughters, one living in Johnsburg, Illinois, who is the mother of two children, and the other resides in Chester, NY, and is expecting her first child.

DeWayne and Linda have enjoyed boating for almost 25 years. They spent many enjoyable hours on the lakes and rivers in and around Illinois. In fact, their boat had facilities that allowed them to spend several weeks at a time traveling on Lake Michigan, Lake Huron, and along the Mississippi River.

DeWayne is very active in Royal Harbor and the surrounding community. He serves as Chairman of the RHPOA Finance Committee, and as Chair-man of the Property Management and Maintenance Board at St. Philip’s Lutheran Church in Mt. Dora. At St. Philip’s, he is also a board member and is on the building committee. During his free time, he enjoys gardening in the beautifully landscaped areas around their home, and he likes to use the computer for a variety of activities.

Linda is a member of the community Book Club and also serves as a volunteer at St. Philip’s Church, assisting with the Bible Study Program and other activities. She also enjoys all types of cooking and spends some of her free time on the computer.

The Rublees were very pleased with the construction process of their custom home. Their construction Superintendent, Cliff Libby, kept them well–informed as their new home was being completed. They were very happy with the personal attention they received during the building process.

If you’re still looking for a retirement lifestyle that will fulfill all your retirement dreams, you may want to follow DeWayne and Linda to the web... (www.pringle.com).
