PLAY BALL! Royal Harbor Bocce Club |

Residents Are Enjoying A League of Their Own...
Royal Harbor residents who enjoy playing ball can choose from a number
of different “ball games” that take place on a regular basis in and
around the community. The list includes billiards, golf, bowling,
ping-pong, tennis, and the subject of this article - Bocce.
When the Recreation Center at the Harbor was completed, 3 carpeted bocce
courts were built nearby. Last January one of the residents, Ralph
Esposito, decided to try to form a bocce club. In no time at all the
Royal Harbor Bocce Club had 64 resident players making up 16 teams that
are divided into 2 leagues. There are 8 teams in the Royal League, and
another 8 teams in the Harbor League. In addition, there are several
other players who serve as alternates, filling-in for regular members as
needed.

The Crazy Gator Restaurant
What could be better than enjoying a pleasant lakeside meal, while
watching the sun set beyond one of Florida’s most picturesque lakes? One
of Eustis’s favorite restaurants provides such a setting.
Steve and Beth Robin have owned the Crazy Gator Restaurant since June,
2001. Coming from the northeast, with extensive experience in the
restaurant industry, their goal was to offer diners friendly service and
high quality food at a fair price. Many of their employees, including
their kitchen Manager, Chef Dan Shanker, have been with them since they
opened.

Don & Erika Carrado
For Erika and Don Carrado, the move to Legacy of Leesburg was quite a
change, as they went from city living in New York, to a quieter, more
rural community here in Central Florida.
Erika was born and raised in Manhattan and Don grew up in Brooklyn. They
lived in Brooklyn until making the move to Florida in October 2002. The
Carrados share their beautifully decorated Devonshire model home in
Legacy, with Erika’s mother, Anna Frank, and their 4 year old dachshund,
named Nathan.
