There are many lakes and waterways located in Lake County and most boaters enjoy docking at a lakeside restaurant for an occasional meal.
A new waterfront restaurant, Tale Chaser Grille, has recently surfaced on Lake Dora at Lakeshore Blvd in Tavares. They have a nautical theme décor and an open deck outside on the lake’s shoreline to accommodate both boaters and land visitors.
The grille has a variety of specials during the week. Seniors receive a 20% discount on Mondays, and Karaoke takes place on the outside deck from 6-10 PM. Tuesday is “All U Can Eat” fried shrimp with coleslaw and fries. Thursday, “Take a Friend for Lunch Day” – where the second person saves 50% of the meal’s cost until 4 PM. Friday’s menu features catfish with onion rings and coleslaw. On Saturday, diners party with live music on the deck while enjoying top sirloin filet steak with grilled shrimp or scallops, potato and salad at a very reasonable price.
The grille is open daily from 11:30 AM – 9 PM, and diners can enjoy Happy Hour from 2-7 PM daily. Enjoy a touch of the Islands, where fish tales are welcomed while watching the sunset over Lake Dora.
