After a late morning stroll through the shops on Mount Dora’s main street, my spouse and I decided to visit one of our favorite restaurants for lunch- The Palm Tree Grille.
The many choices offered on their menu are sure to satisfy every appetite. An example of one of the different appetizers they offer is the Artichoke Gorgonzola – breaded and fried, and served atop a Florentine cream sauce. There are various salads and wraps available, and sandwiches are served with either a pasta salad or a cup of homemade soup.
On this outing I selected the Pork Loin Marsalis, which was a large piece of roast pork rolled with feta cheese and spinach – pinwheel style – and baked. My spouse selected the Salmon Oreganata, a fresh filet of broiled salmon served with wild rice. Both entrees were delicious as well as substantial, and the soup, salad and hot garlic rolls completed the meal.
Desserts include a choice of Ice Cream Pie, Tiramisu, Orange Creamsicle layer cake, or Chocolate Bombe, among others if you have room.
Palm Tree Grille is open six days a week both for lunch and dinner, starting at 11 AM – Sundays at 11:30 AM. A visit to the Palm Tree Grille, along with visiting the many specialty shops in Mount Dora, makes for a very enjoyable day.
