Tech Tip: Using AutoCorrect |
|
Excel includes a handy tool that is included
in most Office applications: AutoCorrect. The purpose of AutoCorrect is
to automatically change things you type, as you type them. This may
sound strange, but it can really be a benefit. For instance, if you know
you always misspell a certain word, you can force Excel to recognize
that word and replace it with the proper one. Similarly, you can define
short codes that can be automatically replaced with long words or
phrases.

Weather Forecasts |
|
Snow Blowers & Shovels, or Flip-Flops & Sunglasses?
Weather forecasting has become quite a science, with the use of
satellites, computers, radar and other sophisticated equipment to
predict the future weather conditions. Reliable forecasts allow people
to prepare for dangerous storms and help them make safer travel plans.
For
over 211 years, the Farmer’s Almanac has been one of our most reliable
prognosticators. It has stood the test of time, and many believe it to
be accurate in its predictions. Its methodology for predicting the
weather was considered scientific, when it was first introduced by
Robert B. Thomas in 1792. As a matter of fact, their methods are secret,
and they are locked away in a black box kept in Dublin, New Hampshire.

"Blossom Where You're Planted"
Bob and Pat Heitzman’s move to Legacy of Leesburg was actually a move
north, rather than south, as is true for most Pringle residents. That’s
because, prior to moving to Central Florida, they lived in Hollywood,
Florida.
Although both Bob and Pat were born and raised in Paterson, New Jersey,
they became Florida residents about 40 years ago. Bob was employed as a
pharmacist for 45 years, and served 27 years for the Eckerd Drug
Company, in and around the Hollywood area. Pat was employed as a
Registered Nurse at the Hollywood Memorial Hospital for 23 years.

There's
Nothing Scarry About This Restaurant
One of the quaint, local restaurants located in downtown Mt. Dora, the
“Goblin Market”, derives its name from an epic poem by Christina
Rossetti. According to Victor M. Garner, the Day Manager of the
restaurant, this poem refers to a dining experience that is enhanced
with each visit to the establishment.
The owners, Vince and Janice Guzinski, opened the restaurant about eight
years ago. It has since become known as a comfortable place to enjoy an
excellent meal with professional, friendly service.
