35th Annual Mount Dora Art Festival

“Ranked in the Top100 art shows in the nation!” - Sunshine Artist

Mount Dora hosts the multifaceted annual Art Festival, showcasing creative, visual and performing arts where 285 artists from all over the world compete for attendance in  this thrilling two day event held every February. It is one of the largest Art Festivals in the state and is known nationally for its quality and attendance by local residents and nationwide visitors.  Participating artists are chosen from a pool of over 900 applicants and it is estimated that more than 300,000 visitors and potential buyers attend each year. Included in the fine art displays are oil paintings, watercolors, acrylics, clay, sculpture and photography and for your listening pleasure, regional and local musical artists perform on the main stage at Donnelly Park. Food is available at separate food courts as well as the wonderful local restaurants found in Mount Dora. As always, the “Ranked” Art Festival will be celebrated in style. 

Awards are handed out to the artists earning “Best of Show”, “Judges Choice” and “Best of Category”. These awards amount to well over $21,000. The Mount Dora Center for the Arts is a most valuable resource for promoting the Arts and Culture to Central Florida. 

Mount Dora also recently celebrated its 100th Birthday on January 1, 2010.  The town is known for its wonderful view of Lake Dora, hilly terrain and its quaint streets lined with boutiques of New England architecture.
